In August 2023, Shelley Residential, a local real estate brand with a passion for art, homes, and community, introduced its latest project: #BoardsforaCause. Beyond merely advertising homes for sale, this new initiative aims to use its boards to support meaningful causes that resonate with the community. Their first partnership is with the Kloof and Highway SPCA, uniting real estate, art and compassion to make a real difference in the lives of needy animals.
Shelley Residential's vision extends far beyond real estate. In their endeavour to redefine the home search and sell experience, they actively contribute to the well-being of the Westville, Pinetown, Kloof, and Hillcrest communities.
"We believe that our success is not just measured in real estate transactions but in the positive impact, we create within our communities. Giving back is not just a choice; it's our responsibility. By engaging in meaningful partnerships, supporting local initiatives, and donating 10% of our annual profits to local non-profit organisations, we aim to uplift the communities we operate in. Together, we can make a difference that truly matters." said Scott Allnatt, Managing Director of Shelley Residential.
Shelley Residential has always believed in the power of art to capture attention and advertise homes for sale. In 2020, they touched hearts in Westville and Cowies Hill by featuring children's art on their boards through the Westville Senior Primary School collection. Now, with their operations extended to Pinetown, Kloof, and Hillcrest, they have embarked on a new artistic endeavour, uniting real estate, art and a worthy cause.
Durban-based artist Kim Pereira, known for her architectural background, was chosen by Shelley Residential to create visually captivating boards for the cause. Using her remarkable talent and passion, Kim hand-painted and drew five unique animal art pieces for the SPCA collection. With two dogs, two cats, and a magnificent peacock, these colourful symbols celebrate beloved furry friends while highlighting the support and hope provided by the SPCA to community animals and their families.
